Last weekend we spent Saturday afternoon out at a local barbecue supply store offering up Bacon Explosion samples to the hoards of people loading up brand new grills and smokers for this year’s barbecue season. Next to us was a gentleman churning out wood fired pizzas on a trusty Big Green Egg. It didn’t take long before we sent over a couple hand fulls of Bacon Explosion and a bottle of Burnt Finger BBQ sauce. The results were GLORIOUS!!!

Update: A fan recently sent in another picture of a homemade Bacon Explosion pizza. Looks tasty!

Ok, now you HAVE to come up with a recipe! This could become a regular around our house.
Pizza on a Big Green Egg is the best ever! I can only imagine how good a Bacon Explosion Pizza would be.
@DaNeener – This particular one had only 4 ingredients. Pre-made pizza crust, Burnt Finger BBQ sauce, two hand fulls of chopped Bacon Explosion, and shredded mozzarella cheese. I’m not quite sure what temperature he was running the Big Green Egg, so we’ll have to play around with that. You can probably just follow the time/temp instructions without an issue. Enjoy!
The picture of the bacon pizza is making me so damn hungry.
It looks like so Delicious
That bacon BBQ pizza looks AMAZING! Usually when I put bacon on pizza, I’ll use tomato sauce, but BBQ sauce looks like a much better idea. Thanks!
